Gonadorelin (GnRH)

Sexual Health FDA approved

Gonadorelin is a synthetic decapeptide identical to naturally occurring gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH or LHRH). Produced in the hypothalamus, GnRH controls the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland, which in turn regulate gonadal function. Gonadorelin is used clinically for diagnostic testing of pituitary function and therapeutically in both pulsatile (to stimulate) and continuous (to suppress) modes. In males, LH stimulates testosterone production; in females, FSH and LH control ovulation and estrogen/progesterone synthesis. Gonadorelin is essential for fertility treatments and hormonal assessments.
