N-Acetyl Semax (NASA)

Cognitive Research chemical

N-Acetyl Semax is a modified version of Semax, a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the ACTH(4-10) fragment with added Pro-Gly-Pro sequence. The N-acetylation provides enhanced stability and prolonged activity compared to standard Semax. This peptide primarily functions as a nootropic, enhancing cognitive performance, attention, and learning capacity. N-Acetyl Semax works through multiple mechanisms including increased BDNF expression, modulation of dopaminergic and serotonergic systems, and enhancement of neuronal survival through activation of the TrkB receptor. The peptide has been extensively studied in Russia and Eastern Europe for conditions involving cognitive impairment and neurodegeneration.
