How to Do a Subcutaneous Peptide Injection — First-Time Guide

Subcutaneous (SubQ) injection delivers peptide solution into the fatty tissue just beneath the skin. This is the standard administration route for most research peptides including BPC-157, ipamorelin, and semaglutide.

Injection Sites

• Abdomen (2 inches from navel) — most common
• Outer thigh
• Upper arm (outer area)
• Rotate sites to avoid lipodystrophy

Steps

• 1. Wash hands thoroughly
• 2. Draw the calculated dose — Use the reconstitution calculator to determine exact units
• 3. Swab injection site — Clean with alcohol swab, allow to dry
• 4. Pinch skin — Create a small fold of subcutaneous tissue
• 5. Insert needle at 45–90 degrees
• 6. Inject slowly — Depress plunger steadily over 5–10 seconds
• 7. Withdraw and dispose — Remove needle, apply light pressure, dispose in sharps container
