Sermorelin (SERM)

Growth Hormone FDA approved (diagnostic)

Sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of naturally occurring human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29). It was the first GHRH analog approved by the FDA for diagnostic and therapeutic use. Sermorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone in a physiological, pulsatile manner. Unlike exogenous GH administration, Sermorelin preserves the natural feedback mechanisms that regulate GH secretion. This makes it suitable for long-term use without causing pituitary suppression. Sermorelin is used clinically for GH deficiency diagnosis and has been studied for anti-aging applications.
